| Trilithons B and C at Stonehenge are seen here as published in the 1867 Ordnance Survey report by Sir Colonel Henry James. There is no evidence that any other British megalithic monument had trilithons. Their closest relatives are the t-shaped taulas of Minorca, and the great taula of Talati. It is interesting that tongue and groove joints as known to woodworkers were used in the trilithons. Today we view the ruined state of the final stage of megalithic stone building at Stonehenge that was completed c.1800 BC. |
